I will continually seek opportunities for learning and growth
"Seek Learning, even by study and also by faith"
Brigham Young once said "You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation." In this installment of our Young Women's Values photo session we are covering "Knowledge". I am happy to belong to a religion that empowers women to learn and grow and teach. When I prepare these blog posts I learn so much more about this program and how the Church views it's young women and I found that President Kimball also taught about the importance of women seeking knowledge, in one of his talks he expressed..."It is important, therefore, that girls in the Church have opportunity for and motivation to move forward in programs designed to improve their skills, to enhance their estimation of their own self worth, and to broaden their knowledge of the gospel with consequent increase in faith. The generations are largely cast by the mothers who produce them." Bam!!! Girls get educated, because it is up to you!
We didn't spend a lot of time photographing this particular color because I didn't realize how much I was going to enjoy shooting them! Even though we have very few pictures to spotlight "Knowledge" I know that Ada exemplifies this value tremendously. In fact, I think this one talent she possesses most of all and that is extremely important for our youth today. She is smart, sassy, and she knows who she is and where she is going. And... she enjoys it! I will be posting how Ada felt about completing her value experiences in another post. I encourage you to keep following so you can read them. She truly is amazing.
